A Major International Competition for a cultural district on newly reclaimed land in Kowloon, Hong Kong carries out as lead designer for Arup Associates. The scheme was imagined as an intensification of the urban condition of Hong Kong, a series of overlapping routes for transport, recreation, retail, residence and speculation, running in parallel. weaving across one another and ending as a series of cultural piers reaching out onto the waterscape of the harbour. The winning scheme, by Fosters, remained unbuilt.
