A project exploring the contemporary agricultural vernacular as a source for a contemporary rural architecture, both of its place and of its time, rather he pretending to be from the past.
The house sits into the landscape, rather than on it, with a planted roof on one side and an elegant steel shed on the other defining a podium edged by a lap pool.
The plan allow for use by a large family, or a number of guests, with each suite giving onto its own outdoor space, with the hallway giving access to the grand living room and the pool terrace, looking out over the vines towards Reibeek-Kasteel's distant mountains.
