Gallery space and offices within a Victorian canal-side warehouse converted on extremely tight schedule and budget. Elements scaled precisely between architecture and furniture are used to reconfigure the space without interfering with the existing structure. Selective screening of existing functional elements edits the experience of the space to focus attention on the older architecture. Particular Attention was given to achieving a balance between natural and artificial light, using off the shelf components rather than expensive specialist fixtures.
