A new house in an old garden in the suburban hills above Nairobi. The typology of the walled garden is accepted. its space structured by the existing trees. The house is slipped in as close to the southern boundary as possible, forming an enhance and service court. The house forms a second wall, facing out onto a gently sloping lawn over a long and narrow swimming pool.
The ground floor is a subtly divided single space with circulation running along its edges, twisting up a stair to link to the upper level is cellular, with an extended gallery along it courtyard face, and a series f sheltered terraces facing the garden.
