A proposal for a tall house with a small footprint in an established garden high on the Slopes of Table Mountain. The slope is steep enough that the building is organised around a staircas and lift-shaft connecting a generously sized garage for an offroader in the basement, and shaded parking for the scooters on the roof, accessed from the top of the driveway. In between are a pair of guest suites each with their own terrace looking towards the city, and a larger floor with a generous belvedere terrace, a dining. living.kitchen room, and an en suite for the owners. The building is designed to be future proof and flexible in its use, but fixed and confident in its form.
