A private housefor a chef. The building is a conversion and extension of an existing outbuilding.The house turns its shapely back to the street. It hugs the edge of the site in order to extend the existing line of buildings and to form a garden wall to the mature garden onto which it opens. the ground floor consists of a bespoke single flowing space, integrating a concrete and timber kitchen used for teaching with a living and dining space focused on sunken fireplace. A series of courtyards extend the living spaces into the garden, a sunny space for the mild, dry winters and a shaded space for the hot srainy summers.
